meet Vanessa

As of 2022, Carter remains the only female ever to win the famous Boot and Hearts Sirius XM Emerging Artist Competition. In 2016, her extensive live performance experience and velvety vocals were on display, as she triumphed over 270 other applicants, initially by garnering 44,000+ fan votes and then competing against the 7 other finalists to earn the $50K+ first prize. The win culminated in Vanessa’s first major label contract with Universal Music Canada and the subsequent release of her debut single Bless My Heart (2018).

Now an independent artist residing in Nashville, TN, Vanessa has written hundreds of songs, releasing Heart of a Woman (2019), Broke Your Own (2020), Yours To Lose (2021), Relapsin’ (Summer of 2022) and the highly anticipated Cleaning House (Fall of 2022).
